Export - Hong Kong

CATS and DOGS

AQIS require that they be notified via a 'Notice of Intention' at least 10 days prior to export.

Appointment	Time	Procedure
1	Between 1 year and 10 days prior departure	• Microchip implantation, and • Vaccinations administered (Cats require Feline enteritis and Cat flu; Dogs require Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvovirus) • Clinical examination, and • Health certificate issued
2	24 – 48 hours before departure	• Clinical Examination, and • Health certificate issued

NB: A rabies vaccination is not a requirement of import to Hong Kong but those dogs not vaccinated against rabies will be vaccinated on arrival. Small Friends Veterinary Hospital is happy to vaccinate your small friend against rabies prior to export.
