As the newest member to the Small Friends family I couldn't be happier - there are few people who wake up each morning and think 'I wonder what exciting case I will see today'. In the short time I have been working at Small Friends Veterinary Hospital I have seen some amazing transformations in the quality of life of our small friend guests. It is most refreshing to see how happy all small friends are to come and visit us, bounding through the doors without a doubt in the world that they will enjoy their stay.

I moved to Canberra 18 months ago after returning from the United Kingdom where I realised the true beauty and necessity of all small friends. After working in the UK with pet owners and seeing the connection that is held between a small friend and their owner I knew that this was an area that I wanted to pursue. I am currently studying Certificate 4 Veterinary Nursing at Canberra Institute of Technology and enjoying every minute of it.

At my current home in Canberra I am not lucky enough to have my own small friend, although growing up in Tathra I have had the privilege of owning all kinds of pets on my parents property; ducks that think they are dogs, chickens, mice (Mary & William), rats (Syble & Tricksy Yum Yum), ferrets (Sulky, Jasmine & Frankie), four  dogs (Merlin, Jack, Cindy & Chloe), and our newest family member 'BamBam' a little rescue lamb. It's always an epic adventure going back home to our own little animal farm.
