If, after a thorough physical examination, your small friend requires medication to take home we will dispense it on the spot and have it ready for you to take with you. Medications are clearly labelled with your small friends’ name and directions for dosing, and all our medications are dispensed in childproof containers ensuring your family’s safety. You are able to discuss the medication’s use, administration and possible side effects with Dr Matt during your consultation.

If your small friend requires long-term use of a medication we may be able to refill your prescription. The Medicines, Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 2008 and the Australian Veterinary Association’s Guidelines for Prescribing, Authorising and Dispensing Veterinary Medicines has very strict rules and guidelines for refilling prescriptions, which we met without exception. Our staff will confirm if we can refill the prescription for you to pick up that day or if a consultation with Dr Matt is required and arrange either for you.
