SMALL ANIMAL VETERINARIAN

(EXPERIENCED OR NEWLY GRADUATED)

We are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our much-loved small animal general practice. We see educated and motivated clients who want the very best for their pets. As a respected member of our friendly team, you will have the opportunity to develop a close working relationship with our loyal clients and their small friends, whilst being encouraged to work up cases and take them through from initial presentation to resolution. Each day you will be supported and mentored through an interesting mix of consulting, treatment, and surgical responsibilities.

  • Up to 38 hours per week (hours and days negotiable)
  • No weekend work or after hours
  • 4 weeks annual leave and 1 week CPD leave and financial support
  • Accommodation is available
  • Sponsorship (work permit) available for successful overseas applicant with 2 years work experience.
  • Salary $70,000 – $120,000 proportionate to experience and ability
  • Financial assistance for relocation

You will work in a small, very clean and modern veterinary hospital with a dedicated surgical theatre, digital x-ray and ultrasound and in-house pathology suite. We want to assist you to gain confidence, learn new skills and to share with you our love of the veterinary profession. Our performance appraisals are all about you gaining confidence and us being able to provide the right support, not about us filling the coffers – we will never set consultation charge targets. We encourage, and our clients expect, a sound, scientific and sensible approach to all cases.

Our successful applicant will appreciate the important role all our staff play in the service we provide, care about delivering outstanding customer service, possess excellent communication skills, the desire to exceed client expectations and be well presented. You want a workplace that considers mental health and workplace happiness first priorities. You possess a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, and you are eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
