We are open Monday – Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm and Saturday 8:00am – 12:30pm.
Please call 02 6262 2233 to make your appointment.
What to do when Small Friends Vet is closed, and you need a vet? There are three options:
- Call Canberra Veterinary Emergency Service (CVES) on 6225 7257. CVES is located at 21 Crinigan Circle, Gungahlin.
- Call Walk In Clinic for Animals on 0482 092 824. They are located at 30 Totterdell Street, Belconnen.
- Call Valley Veterinary Emergency on 02 6281 7111. They are located at 176 Dixon Drive, Holder.
They will care for your small friend whilst we are closed and refer them back to us when we open in the morning. Should they require further treatment, this can be provided by us.

Small friends that come to Small Friends Veterinary Hospital will be seen by one of only three vets, Dr Matt, Dr Cormac or Dr Isabelle, every time.
Being a small practice, Dr Matt, Dr Cormac, Dr Isabelle and the rest of the Small Friends team can dedicate time every day to discussing your small friend’s cases. This special effort we make to ensure continuity of care is important to all staff at Small Friends Veterinary Hospital and is an important part of the “small friends way”. Whether it be during a routine consultation or an emergency, you can rest assured that they will know your small friend’s medical history.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept EFTPOS, cash, Vet Pay, After Pay, and Zip Pay. We require payment at time of consultation (no accounts).
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday – Friday 8am – 6:30pm and Saturday 8:00am – 12:30pm.
