We have a modern, fully equipped operating theatre dedicated exclusively to sterile surgical procedures. We are able to perform a wide range of general surgeries on-site in a safe and controlled environment.
Most surgeries are completed as day procedures, allowing your small friend to return home with you by the end of the day. Because Dr Matt’s home is attached to the hospital, surgical patients who require overnight hospitalisation can remain at Small Friends Veterinary Hospital rather than being transferred to an external emergency hospital. This provides continuity of care and added peace of mind for our clients.
- Specialist Referrals When Needed
For the small number of procedures that cannot be performed on site, we confidently refer patients to specialist orthopaedic surgeons or specialist soft tissue surgeons. These referrals ensure your small friend receives the highest level of care when advanced surgical expertise is required.
